The OTIS XAA349H1/H2 and XAA349E1/E2 series guide rail oil cups—commonly known in the industry as horseshoe-shaped oil cups—are widely used in OTIS elevator automatic guide rail lubrication systems.
These oil cups are mainly installed on counterweight guide rails and car auxiliary guide rails in both Machine Room-Less (MRL) and conventional elevator systems, helping maintain stable lubrication and smooth elevator operation.

In Machine Room-Less (MRL) elevators, the traction machine and controller are installed directly inside the shaft.
This creates a stronger shaft airflow or wind tunnel effect compared with conventional machine-room elevators.
To address this, the XAA349 series adopts a closed horseshoe-shaped structure.
