How the System Works
The MBS-S100 combines non-contact and contact-type protection into one integrated system.
1. Infrared Light Curtain Protection (Non-Contact)
The S100-T/R bars contain multiple infrared transmitters and receivers installed vertically on both sides of the elevator door.
Crossed infrared beams create an invisible safety screen.
When an object or passenger interrupts the beam:
✔ Door reopening signal is triggered
✔ Passenger entrapment is prevented
2. Mechanical Safety Edge Protection (Contact-Type)
If an obstacle reaches areas not fully covered by optical detection or physically contacts the safety edge:
✔ Internal micro-switch activates immediately
✔ Door reopening is forced mechanically
This creates a secondary protection layer for enhanced safety.
